Consistency is Key

Consistency is key - the things that you want to improve on in your driving can only be done so when you’ve got a base line to compare to! This means getting to a point where you’re able to replicate lap after lap the same thing, make small adjustments, improve, and move onto the next bit.
This goes for anything you might want to achieve - continued work on the same thing - putting in the reps is so crucial to making progress towards where you want to be! There’s a term I’ve become familiar with, compound pounding. The idea is that over time your small progress builds up to create a large result. Think about water cutting through rock over thousands of years. The result you want is on the other side of the monotony of continual work!
For me, this has been a struggle in my writing and posting with social media. You can see a number of times this year I’ve made an effort to be more consistent and engage at a larger level! This is a challenge as I naturally am a more private person. I greatly appreciate the messages and comments - they give me more motivation to keep working on this skill. While it’s not easy, I know the communication skills developed on the other side will be worth it!
